FAQ

Design:
My specialty is custom orders. Please share your idea, theme for a party, special color combination, whatever catches your eye. We’ll work together to make a cake that will fit your needs and make your event unique.

Ordering:
Please allow at least 2 weeks advanced notice for ordering. Provisions can be made for less notice. I will setup an initial consultation with the client to discuss flavors, theme and any other special concerns you may have.

Cost:
Cakes are priced on an individual basis depending on flavor, frosting vs. fondant, size, design and dietary needs. An initial price will be given 48 hours from consultation.

Deposit:
At the time of ordering, a 50% deposit will be required for all cakes to hold your event date. The remaining balance is due in full at time of delivery.

Flavors:
I can do a variety of flavors and combinations. Bring your idea and we’ll work it out.
Standard flavors are: vanilla, classic white, almond, chocolate, lemon, grapefruit, orange, and red velvet.
Standard frosting flavors are: buttercream, French buttercream (made with real butter), and almond buttercream
Standard fillings: almond buttercream, vanilla buttercream, raspberry, apricot. Nuts can be added to any filling for an additional price.
Fondant: Is typically a mild vanilla or almond flavor. All fondant cakes are decorated with a thin buttercream underlay covered by fondant.

Fondant vs. Buttercream:
Fondant looks really smooth and gives the cake a unique ‘finished’ look. Although fondant cakes are typically more expensive, fondant makes for a unique presentation. Some people really like the taste, and those who don’t generally peel it off.

*I can also provide Vegan cakes, cupcakes and frosting. Flavors offered are chocolate and vanilla. Vegan fondant is not available at this time.
